Your responsibilities
It is important to remember that even though you are studying at a partner university, you are still a Curtin student. In addition to your student exchange responsibilities you have a responsibility to abide by the policies and rules that govern Curtin students.
You are responsible for:
- ensuring your enrolment is amended to reflect International Study (Study Exchange) - between 75 and 100 credits whilst abroad
- re-enroling at Curtin for the semester you return
- negotiating your studies abroad to be credited towards your Curtin degree
- meeting Curtin deadlines for payment of fees and amendment of your enrolment
- payment of health insurance premiums or demonstrate that you have adequate health insurance
- continuing to check your OASIS account on a weekly basis.
International students, you must also:
- abide by the conditions of your Australian student visa.
| Student Exchange Diary: Jasmin Cuplovic |
| "I left Australia 2 days after my last exam in June. This enabled me to travel for 3 months during the European summer before commencing studies at Middlesex University in London. During my studies - thanks to a well organized lecture timetable and the European budget airlines - fortnightly inter-country long weekend trips were a must. Countries I visited included Spain (including Ibiza and Mallorca), Germany (for the World Cup), Greece, Turkey, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Hungary, Holland, Austria and Thailand." |
